Am I dreaming?
Last week in the wee hours of the night, I was down in the common room "studying" with fellow mabians. The mood was pretty mellow and everyone was wondering what we were going to do next with our evening. Suddenly I was culinarily (not sure if thats a word) inspired by my slight hunger. I raced upstairs and began sorting through ingredients in the kitchen on maybee 2. Seeing the pancake mix sent me back to nearly every weekend from my childhood I can remember with my mom making these delicious treats for me and all my friends. It was then that I decided I had to step it up and take it to the next level. These pancakes being concocted were no run of the mill average pancakes, these were chocolate chip blueberry pancakes, the likes of which have never before been seen on this campus. I made nearly fifteen of these scrumptious delights and let any hungry souls come devour their warm fluffy greatness. I only ate one of my creations but it was the biggest one of the batch and well worth the wait. This fourth meal changed my night and my outlook on eating habits past 1am.

Bienvenidos a Mi Casa
I am quite the inexperienced cooker.
But that didn't stop my roommate Kristina and I from making a trip to Target to purchase all the goods to concoct delicious cheese enchiladas. My mama always made these for dinner at our house and although Kristina and I didn't have all the side dishes to accompany it... and even though we accidentally purchased flour tortillas instead of corn (it's everywhere), I'd still say they were a tasty treat.

Homemade Dewberry Pie
During the summer, my family and I stopped at this place where you could pick your own berries of other fruits of the season. After collecting a couple of boxes of dewberries, (and after eating a good amount), we froze the rest because my mom wanted to eventually make pies out of them. When I went home this past weekend and decided to make one for her, I was astounded to hear that she had bought a frozen, pre-made pie crust...after chiding her for her failure as the care-taker of the house, I quickly remedied the situation with a quick call to my grandma for the crust recipe. I finished making the pie around 1:50 a.m. Normally I am not a big fan of pie, but I must say, this one was delicious...and the crust was my favorite part. :)
