(No mothers were harmed in the production of this pie.)During the summer, my family and I stopped at this place where you could pick your own berries of other fruits of the season. After collecting a couple of boxes of dewberries, (and after eating a good amount), we froze the rest because my mom wanted to eventually make pies out of them. When I went home this past weekend and decided to make one for her, I was astounded to hear that she had bought a frozen, pre-made pie crust...after chiding her for her failure as the care-taker of the house, I quickly remedied the situation with a quick call to my grandma for the crust recipe. I finished making the pie around 1:50 a.m. Normally I am not a big fan of pie, but I must say, this one was delicious...and the crust was my favorite part. :)
